Welcome To Last Howl Kennel

We started Last Howl Kennel in 2001 with the purchase of 2 Siberian puppies. We started training and realized we need some experience in the team so we purchased our 1st race proven dog, named Breeze. She really helped us get going and I was planning on just staying small in the sport and be totally recreational. In the Spring I decided to purchase 2 more dogs to help my team out, and it snowballed from there. In the summer of 2003 we decided to change our outlook in the sport and try to assemble a competitive team and do some mid-distance racing. We got a good start last winter with a 3rd place finish in the Jim Lobdell Memorial Sled Dog Race, and a 2nd place finish in the sportsmen’s class at Endless Mountains.
Along with me focusing on my dogs, I have also held the presidency position for the Canadian American Sledders Inc. for the past 3 years. I have been busy working on assembling more mid-distance races in this area. Check out the club website for up coming events.

We have high expectations for the upcoming season, but are not going to have our breeding and true test until 2008’s race season.
